Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Markus Askew - LB
Coaches love the leadership skills in this kid. This guy understands what it means to be a pro. The ultimate team player. Tackles well. Could almost play Defensive End, he is that strong. Coaches love that versatility. Scouts all say his speed is not a problem, he plays way faster than his forty time. He fills a hole at the position. Blue-chip player. Will fit right in and start right away. Love it.

Jim Nox: Markus Askew - LB
This is a player who takes the lead. Due to his work ethic, this kid is very coachable. He plays well with others. He understands there is a reason for each assignment on every play. Hits ballcarriers low, taking no chances. The expectation is that his strength will translate into fumbles. It will definitely help him shed blocks and produce big hits. Will not have to come off the field for in obvious passing situations. Has enough quickness to pressure Quarterbacks off the edge. Solid talent that fits their needs. Really that is all there is to it. Perfect situation. Take the money and run.

Pick 2: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: Jason Gipson - CB
Not afraid to lead. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. A great tackler. Consistent. He fills a hole at the position. Blue-chip player. Will fit right in and start right away. Love it.

Jim Nox: Troy Stuart - CB
His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Well liked in the locker room. Fast enough to play man coverage. Can go toe to toe with most receivers. Take the blue-chip player. Do not worry about sexier picks. He fits what you need and the quality is there.

Pick 3: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: Elvis Starr - LB
Known among his teammates as a bit of a goofball, but never in a bad way. The kind that keeps spirits high even when a season goes south. Finishes tackles well. Is fast enough to get sacks. Is fast enough to contain outside runs. Those are the players you look for at Defensive End. Reliably makes the right decision on the field. Take the blue-chip player. Do not worry about sexier picks. He fits what you need and the quality is there.

Jim Nox: Elvis Starr - LB
Known for helping out teammates, if they hit a rough patch, whether it is on the field or in their personal lives. I like the way he tackles. Wraps up the ball carrier and drags him down. No need to take chances. You need to stay on him, or he will turn the edge on you. Teams want Defensive Ends that keep Offensive Tackles honest. He is sharp, and that makes him very coachable. They need players at the position, and good ones at that. He fits the bill, he is worth the pick. End of story.

Pick 4: Houston RoughRiders
Larry Moore: Anthony Olivo - WR
Raised to know the value of hard work. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. His college tape shows him catching the ball well. Add more speed to the offense. Why would you not? Has the balance and shiftiness to work well on short and intermediate routes from the slot. They need him now. Well yesterday actually. They will love him tomorrow. They will revere him by the end of his career.

Jim Nox: Kenneth Major - LB
Deceptively fast, will make you dizzy with his speed rush. Has good instincts on the field. It is not often that the talent available fits perfectly with what you need. When it does, it makes for a win-win situation. This young man is going to be put in a position to succeed.

Pick 5: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Larry Fulton - G
Knows what it takes to achieve success at any level. Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. Has nice technique when blocking on run plays. Keeps his leverage and finishes his blocks. Displays nice technique when blocking on pass plays. Keeps his balance and buys time for the quarterback. The stars align for them to get him here. Just what they need. Blue-chip player with great upside. Hard to botch this pick.

Jim Nox: Larry Fulton - G
This guy understands what it means to be a pro. This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. Execution in the running game is something coaches have noticed about him. He blocks pretty well. He shows good instincts of where to turn defenders when pass blocking. Do not be afraid to draft a position of need here. This kid is well worthy of a pick this early. Perfect situation for him, and great fit for the team.

Pick 6: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Kenneth Major - LB
He closes so fast. Offensive tackles will learn that the hard way. Clever young man as wellMight not be what fans want, but there is a reason people are getting paid to make these decisions. This is a rock solid pick, and he fits what they are looking for. Fans will come around quickly once they see him play.

Jim Nox: Jorge Larson - G
This kid loves the weight room, and has developed nice strength for being this early in his career. Nice blocking skills on run plays. He will contribute to the running game. Do not fret. You need him, fans love him. Surefire pick.

Pick 7: Nova Scotia Vikings
Larry Moore: Troy Stuart - CB
He is driven by the love of the sport. Known among his teammates as a bit of a goofball, but never in a bad way. The kind that keeps spirits high even when a season goes south. Pretty good straight line speed. Will keep up with most receivers. Blue-chip player. Exactly what they look for. Add a young talent to a roster thin at the position, a great fit.

Jim Nox: Jason Gipson - CB
Teammates look to him for leadership, and he consistently delivers. He is fundamentally a good kid. You rarely see him commit stupid penalties. Well schooled in tackling. Good fundamentals. He fills a hole at the position. Blue-chip player. Will fit right in and start right away. Love it.

Pick 8: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Jorge Larson - G
Strong enough to play with the pros. This kid is already a pretty good blocker in the running game. He will only get better as he refines his technique. Getting it right here is what makes and breaks franchises. Get a blue-chip player and never look back.

Jim Nox: Fred Singer - SS
Excellent speed. Can be asked to cover Wide Receivers. Can come down quickly into the box to snuff out run plays. Wraps up well when tackling. Fans are divided on him, but coaches should not be. He is their guy.

Pick 9: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Earl Turner - LB
In college, he dominated when bull rushing. He is strong enough that he can continue to do that in the pros. More than enough speed for the position. This will become evident as he develops. Reacts instinctively to developments on the field. Fans, coaches, and teammates alike will be ecstatic to get him on the team. He fits what they need, he is such a great talent. Everything lines up.

Jim Nox: Earl Turner - LB
Really strong for a Linebacker. This is something that teams love. Closing speed good enough to get to the Quarterback often. Coaches love how coachable he is. Blue-chip player. Exactly what they look for. Add a young talent to a roster thin at the position, a great fit.

Pick 10: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: Everette Perkins - CB
What you get with this kid, is a guy who understands that this is a team sport. Fast enough or man coverage. And enough speed to close fast when blitzing. With this kid, this is a need pick they will not regret.
